The Shoes

THE SHOES

Trusting God is a wonderful thing to do…He comes through for you in profound and beautiful ways.

Specifically designed in your behalf. It is personal moment. He is personal. You are everything to Him. This God is Perfect and He carries you in His Perfect Heart.

I love to see His Love and care in action in my life, in my family, and in the lives of others. I pray constantly for the eyes of my heart to be open, so I can see Him. I love to be looking out for what God is doing.

Whenever we need something, we pray about it. We ask God to provide it in His way and we make our hearts ready for however He answers those prayers and those needs for our lives. We take it seriously to pray about everything. Everything.

Recently my son, Jonathan and I went to a Thrift store.
I was looking for some deals for summer clothes for my family.
One of the places I like to go to is, The Mercy House Thrift Store, for clothes.

As I made my plans…I also prayed about it and then when the day came, I prayed over that day and asked God to bless us and to help me find the perfect items for each of us.

When we first got there we looked at the shoe section…I found a couple of good pair of summer shoes for myself. I told Jonathan to look too, just in case we could find something cool for him as well. He took a look and told me, there was nothing for him and walked away.

I went about looking at the clothes then.

God totally blessed our time there and I found such wonderful things for us all.

So about an hour later, we were ready to leave. I headed toward the register and I told Jonathan to go look one more time at the shoe section, to see if they had put anything out since we were first there. They had not. So we got in line to check out.

I noticed Jonathan looking at a boy about 11 or 12 years old in line directly behind us, ready to check out as well.

I looked at what Jonathan was seeing.

The boy had in his hands a brand new pair of beautiful Nikes High Top Sneakers, they still had a new retail price tag on them. In between his fingers was a one dollar bill. The shoes were very eye catching. They were the nicest shoes I have seen in a long time. They were orange, green and gold.

Jonathan nudged me and said, “Mom, look at what that boy has in his hands.”
I had already noticed. (God was at work)

I said to Jonathan in amazement, “How did he get those, we checked back there twice and they never put any shoes out while we were here?”

Here is what literally happened.

When Jonathan walked away, that boy walked up to the shoe section, with his dollar in his hand and at the same time, a man came from the back with those shoes and set them on the shelf in front of him and walked away.”
The boy’s eyes got really big and he grabbed the shoes and held them to his chest.

I knew God had done that, just for that boy…He needed those shoes…those were perfect for him…just his size and most likely the colors he liked the most. Those shoes were put there for him and him only.
God provided those for him.

As that thought flashed in my mind…Jonathan turned to me and said, “Mom, God gave him those shoes, they were meant for him.”

Tears stung both of our eyes as we let the truth of the moment enter our hearts with gratefulness to our Beautiful God. We left out of there with joy in our hearts for that young man and of a God that is Perfect in all His ways toward us.

Oh and guess what?!  As we were checking out...the lady behind the register told us, for that day, everything in the store was half price!  That's right.  We got our purchase for half off and that boy....He got those beautiful God given shoes for .50 cents!

A Most Amazing Thing Happened!

 A Most Amazing Thing Happened!

Let me set the stage for what I am about to tell you.
First off you must know.  We have an Extraordinary God.
He is Beautiful in All His Ways.  He Listens to His Children when they talk to Him.
He answers in His Most Perfect Ways. Our God Hears our prayers and He answers us.  He loves us so very much.

Many of the regular readers may know…I only write when led by The Holy Spirit and I write from a prayerful and grateful heart.
Because This is never about me…but All About Him and FOR YOU.
I write honestly and raw as well. A few of my friends, have said, I shouldn’t share some sensitive details of my personal life.
Remember, I told you…I only write what He tells my heart to share…..
I am a real person, living a real life.  The difference is, it is all a testimony to His Love.

These last few days, I have been in much prayer about needs and concerns for our household.
I have been praying with a heart that desired change for a deeper level of a relationship with Him as well.

I recently started thinking about that precious Sparrow that our Lord talks about in the Bible.

The scriptures I was drawn to were….

Luke 12: 6 & 7
JESUS SAID....
"Are not two sparrows sold for two copper coins? And not one of them is forgotten before God.
But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.

Matthew 6:25-43
JESUS SAID...
"Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than clothing?
Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heaving Father feeds them. Are you not more value than they?
Which of you by working can add one cubit to his stature?
So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they neither toil nor spin.
And yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?
Therefore do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?'
For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your Heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.
But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble."

I looked up Details about The Sparrow on the internet.
I was led to The Female House Sparrow.
The Sparrow is very small, about 4 to 6 inches long. They are found throughout the world and there are about 50 different species of Sparrow.
The House Sparrow is strongly associated with human habitations, and can live in urban or rural settings
The House Sparrow is a very social bird and is closely associated with humans.
Many people appreciate their beautiful song. They build their nests in low places.
They lay about 4 to 6 eggs at a time.
Sparrows can be found anywhere there are humans.
Many people through the world enjoy these delightful birds.

I just thought these were some interesting facts…considering I never knew these things about them before now.
We know that God keeps His eyes on the Sparrow and that they mean a lot to Him.
After all He spoke about them in relation to our trusting in Him, in His Word.
I see our God with His hand open and a little Sparrow loving resting on his thumb as she is eating from His hand.  God’s provision, love and care for His own beautiful creation.  And so are we.

Oh only for us to trust Him as much as this tiny sparrow.

Now yesterday, I reflected on all this and pondered many things in my heart asking the Holy Spirit to reveal His ways, truth, love and promises to my heart as a personal reality between the shared relationship we have.

I talked to my God off and on throughout the day…being careful to listen as well.
I felt assurance and encouraged.
I posted these scriptures and a couple of pictures of the Sparrow on the God’s Girl Ministries Page on Facebook, to share with others, to encourage other believers.

I then tuned on worship music and thanked my Lord for His goodness.

Then my husband got home from work.  Forgetting to put the weight of the world outside our house door, before he came in…he was heavy with worry and pressures.

I begin to feel it too.  My throat caught in me, like swallowed tears I couldn’t cry.  My heart squeezed with a knot.  I tried to comfort my husband and make light of things.  Trying to get him to laugh a little at silly things.   That worked for a little bit.
My son made a homemade casserole, we ate and we talked a little about having faith in God.
His mood was better, but his face, had the weary look.

I prayed through out the night for him and for our household.

This morning I felt good. I looked forward to doing good busy things and spending time with my Heavenly Father.
Before my husband left out the house to go to do his busy things.  His mood was back.  This time it infected me.  He was harsh and talking as if we had no God at all.  It was breaking my heart.  My mind was screaming.  “BUT I KNOW HIM. I KNOW MY GOD. HE IS REAL AND HE ANSWERS PRAYER!”  I wasn’t saying these words out loud.
I just wanted my husband to hurry up and go so I could talk to my God.

I was crying and praying.

“God please reassure me that you have heard me and You are taking care of us.”

My husband called…he was fussy.  I hung up and cried out to my God.
Suddenly, a strength came from the inside of me…and flooded me from the inside out.
This was Confidence in my God.

I felt sure God did hear me and He was taking care of everything.

I was taking my stand in my faith. In my God.

I sat down at the table to finish some sewing.  The sewing machine was loud, but faintly I could hear a chirping outside my sliding glass doors.  The chirping was getting louder and louder.  My cat ran over to take a look and I stopped my sewing and looked as well.

There was a SPARROW.

She was flying back and forth in front of my sliding glass door, chirping as loud as she could and looking right at me.  Once I set my eyes on her, she rested on the porch right in front on the door. Just sitting there now, making sure I was seeing her.

Tears welled into my eyes from the overflow of my heart
 and I said out loud.
“Thank You Lord for The Sparrow.
Thank You for the encouragement.
I know you heard me and have received my prayers.”

Then Off She Went!  Right after I said that.

I called my husband to set some things straight right away and told him this story.
The rest is between God and him….

By writing this my hope and prayer is that you will know how special you are to God. How much He cares for you.  He wants to take good care of us and show us that He is Everything we need and nothing is impossible with Him.
Talk to Him. Trust Him. Put your Hope in Him.

May you know Him in away you never thought you could have experienced in all your dreams.  God puts man’s best dreams to rest…Because He is God.  Be captivated by Him and may He overwhelm you as He does me with His Love.

I WAIT ON YOU

I was invited out by a very special friend to a women's meeting last week.  It was a picnic for women with a couple of guest speakers.  They held it outside under a pavilion at a church near to where I live called The Upper Room.  There were many ladies there from all around and from many other churches.  They come together as one to learn, grow and fellowship.
To experience the feet of Jesus at The Well.
Oh how I rejoiced at such a gathering inside my soul!
I was very touched by this.

As I heard Natalie Shifflett speak on the topic of Waiting.  My heart begin to stir within me and open up to receive every word.  As she spoke, my heart plumped in the growing of her planting word seeds of The Holy Spirit, in the garden of my heart.
It is He who causes growing in my personal walk with Him.
In the deep core of the center of my belly...I felt my Lord.
I heard Him say, "I want you to write about this....about Waiting."
I was instantly moved in my spirit and mind and thanked my Lord.

My Lord has been speaking to my heart a lot about "keep it simple."  My mind races with so much concerns, needs, wants to's and gotta do's.  Especial when I want to show love to others.  I want to be led by Him, so His Love is very evident of His Touch, Not mine.  All hearts should be drawn to Him and His Love, in All things.

Even in the areas of my life, He wants to touch and love on, I must Be Still.  Rest. Wait.
Oh…He will chase after me.  I am His Beloved.  But how beautiful it is to just Be Still with the Lover of my soul.  To really hear Him, draw close to Him and just breath in All He is to me.

Before I went to this meeting...I was in prayer to my Heavenly Father.
I had a heaviness in my heart.  I felt change was happening in certain circumstances in my life.

This particular one, made me cry in sadness.   I couldn't keep anything down, because of the sadness and all I did was cry.  Sometimes I wept hard and sometimes silent tears. But for 4 days my tears was a constant on my face.
Tears that kept me in prayer.
Because that is the kind of sadness that requires constant prayer.

The day before my sweet friend asked me to go to this meeting...I had told my Lord, "I Am Waiting On You."  God being such a Loving Father...Wanted me to understand what Waiting meant in my life, concerning what I just said to Him.
Not my way, but His way.  His kind of "Waiting" is life giving.

I saw this post on Facebook and I captured it inside myself, and made it part of me. It has caused me to remember where my confidence should be…. In Him.
He is The Promiser and the Author of Rest and Peace.

I am going to try to put into words best I can on what Natalie spoke on...that ministered to my heart about Waiting.

There is a purpose in our waiting on God in His timing.  He tests our faith to prepare us for what He is making us wait for.
Our "make it happen" attitude gets us in a mess and takes a lot more time to clean up.

There is a season in Waiting and it is a Beautiful Season.

He ministers to you in The Waiting.
Drawing you to Him into a closer relationship with Him.
In The Waiting you become a new person, as you are spending time with Him.
Sometimes God puts us in the Waiting Room before we go to The Divine Appointment, set by Him for us personally. Because that appointment is what we are Waiting for.
We have to stay in that Waiting Room until we learn what He wants us to learn.  We have to learn to give Him control and we have to stay there until we do.
God always shows up for you on the appointed time from Waiting.
This Beautiful Speaker...Spoke much more on this subject...But this is what I felt I needed to share with you.

Scriptures she shared are
Isaiah 30:18  Therefore the Lord will wait, that He may be gracious to you; And therefore He will be exalted, that He may have mercy on you. For the Lord is a God of justice; blessed are all those who wait for Him
Galatians 6:9 And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.
Lamentations 3:25- 26 The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, To the soul who seeks Him. It is good that one should hope and wait quietly For the salvation of the Lord.
Psalm 130:5 I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, And in His word I do hope.

Oh My Lord, I sit in this Waiting Room.  I want to wait on You.  I need You in my waiting.  I want to experience all you want to teach me and draw me close to you during this time.
To prepare me for what You want to show me and guide me to, from Your Perfect Heart of Love toward me.
I want to be still at this time, this season of my life. Because Lord, in the waiting, being still is trusting You.  You do Great Things and Are Completely Beautiful.
I put my trust and confidence in no one else but You, my Lord.

I am not alone in this Waiting Room.  You are not in another room.  You are there with me.  This Waiting Room is like no other.  Nothing can compare to it.  It is an incredible place.  It is the door to Your very heart.  I get to experience profound and lovely things there with You.  I will never be the same.  I give You everything there.  You and I share so much in this season.  You show me things You have never shown me before, but had prepared for me, during this time.  I choose Oh Heavenly Father to Wait and Be Still.
I choose to
be in the Waiting so I can know You more.  Change me oh Lord.  I Wait for Your Fire of Refinement.  Holy Spirit I Wait for Your Fire.

Lyrics to While I'm Waiting :
I'm waiting
I'm waiting on You, Lord
And I am hopeful
I'm waiting on You, Lord
Though it is painful
But patiently, I will wait

I will move ahead, bold and confident

Taking every step in obedience
While I'm waiting
I will serve You
While I'm waiting
I will worship
While I'm waiting
I will not faint
I'll be running the race
Even while I wait

I'm waiting
I'm waiting on You, Lord
And I am peaceful
I'm waiting on You, Lord
Though it's not easy
But faithfully, I will wait
Yes, I will wait
I will serve You while I'm waiting
I will worship while I'm waiting
I will serve You while I'm waiting
I will worship while I'm waiting
I will serve you while I'm waiting
I will worship while I'm waiting on You, Lord

I Will Return To My First Love

I Will Return To My First Love

You are my Shield…My Strength…My Portion…
My Deliver... My Shelter…Strong Tower…My Very Present Help in time of need.

I remember My First Love.
When I gave You all my heart.

You have made me glad.
I will say of the Lord, You are my Everything. I have all of Your affection.

I remember…what moved me to say the words….
”Jesus, Come into my heart and forgive me."
I remember that my sins pierced Your side, put the nails in Your hands and the crown of thorns on Your head.

I remember the day my heart cried out and my lips whispered, in desperation of my sinful state…
”Oh Jesus, I Need You. I want You in my Heart.  Clean me and make me new.”

Jesus, I felt that Love enter me. I could not move.  I did not want to move.
I wanted to stay right there, in that moment.
I did not want the world to come near me.
This world has nothing for me…

You put forgiveness on my head like a crown.
Your Love won my heart.
That day, Lord, You married me.

What a beautiful day…I met my First Love.

 You said to my heart,
“My Beloved, Everything I do for you, I do for you because I love you.”

Oh Lord, “Never have I seen this kind of Love,
You keep me in your care and steadfast in Your love.”

I am sorry for what I have done.  I am sorry for the sin I commit.

Lord, thank you for making me Your Own.
Lord, I offer All that I am, I am yours.
For I understand You have done much more for me and gave me much more than I deserve.
I return to my First Love, oh Lord.  You are My First Love.
You touched my heart and cleansed my spirit.
I am filled with the presence of Your love for me.  I can not be moved.

I run to my First Love…I run to You.
I run and lay at Your beautiful feet.
The feet that walked Calvary’s road,
to the cross and right into my heart.
It is where I am complete.
I kiss Your feet of mercy.

I need You Jesus.
My heart is Yours.
No one else will do.
Lord I put my trust in You.
Thank You for coming to my rescue.
Thank You for capturing me with grace.
I will rise and follow You, all the days of my life.
Jesus, You Are My First Love.

Trust In Me

 TRUST IN ME

My child I see you.
I watch over you with eyes full of love and a heart of pure, unshakable devotion.

Thank You my Lord. For watching over me.  I need You more than the air I breath.
Each time I lay my head to rest Lord, I trust in You.

When I rise, though…I sometimes feel very uncertain.
I wake with the world and all it’s cares.  Sometimes, I feel so alone.

My Child, I Am with you.  The world has it’s burdens.
But I carry everything for you.  Keep your eyes on Me.
Look at what I have for you each new day.
Because My Child, you woke up today, as My gift to you.
But what you do with this day, is your gift to Me.

Oh my Father, I praise You with such a gift.
I pray to honor you with this new day and each day you allow me to be in.

You are such a Wonderful Father to me.
I pray to please You today in all I do.

Oh God, when I fail, when I am weak and am not such a fragrant flower to you…water me with your love and mercy.
Speak to my petals and cause me not to be bruised so easily and deeply.

My Daughter, I made you to be soft and sensitive.
To show my love gently toward others.
I will be all you need to be, that kind of love and I will pour my spirit over you to give off that sweet fragrance.
I will make you strong on the inside, to be able to do all I have planned for your life.  I Am your Father and You belong to Me.
My thoughts never wander away from you, My Child.

Oh Heavenly Father.  You are my Healer. You Heal those who call unto Your Great Name.
Nothing misses Your attention.
You have all the details of my life in Your hands of grace and compassion.
You are strength when I am weak.
You are grace, when I am failing. You give mercy, when others do not show it.
You lift me up, so I can fly above the hard situations that suppress me.
All I have to do is trust You  and allow You to take care of me.

You Oh my Lord, set my feet to dancing and turn my sorrows to joy.
You make all things beautiful in Your sight and in your perfect time for my life.
Oh Lord, thank You, that I am beautiful to You.
I can hardly comprehend this Love You have for me.
Others, are quick to dismiss those around them.
Others, throw people away and go to another.
Others, judge so harshly and tell those they say they love, what they have to do to be accepted and be called a friend and even to be called family.
But Not You.  You accept with no conditions.
You Are The Father to the father-less.
You Love with an Everlasting Love.
You promise there is no condemnation to those who are Yours and Love Your Son.
You Are The Friend that Loves at all times.
You Are Faithful to faithless.  Love to the unlovable.  Life to the dead.

God heal me so I may be healed.
Restore unto me The Joy of Your Salvation and Renew a right spirit within me.

Keep me sensitive to Your ways.  I do not want to have a hard heart.
The world is hard and offers lifeless treasures.
But Oh God, You give Treasures from Heaven, From Your Very Heart to those who are Yours.  The Treasures of Life Everlasting.
Those are Treasures that will not fade away or decay.

Things of this world that I hold in my hands, get blown in the wind and disappear.
Even if I try to hold them in a tight fist.  They have no value and offer me no life.

I open my hands to you.  My selfish and dirty hands…I fully give you my worthless treasures oh God.
I want instead to hold the hands of my Sweet Savior Jesus.

His Hands are clean and are priceless.
His Hands have the scars that carry all the Treasures I could ever want.
His Hands, gave up life for me and offer me new life.

His hands hold The Cup that Overflows with newness, like I have never seen before.

His hands hold Love that can only be captured through Him!

I want to hold His Hands.

Oh My God.  My Father.  I want to know those hands and all they hold.

I throw myself into Your Arms of Grace and Life.
                                                             Capture all that I am.
I give You my heart.  Take those broken pieces, those shattered shards of glass that my heart becomes from the experiences of this world…The edges are so terrifying, so sharp,
That they wound my spirit.
Mold me into the image of Your Love.

If I could only imagine the beauty of that Love and the shape you would make my brokenness into!
Jesus Can You Hear Me…Come Heal My Broken Pieces and Be My Father, I Need You.
I can't do this without You.
Take my broken pieces and make me new.
I am in Your Beautiful Hands.
I Need You.  I will be fine with You.  You will restore me.

My Precious Child, I Am doing new things. I Am raising you up to a greater strength.
I Am your God and I delight to sing songs of Love, Life and Liberty over you.
I Am The One that shows you things you have never seen before.
No Eye has seen, no ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which I have prepared for them that love Me.
All you need to see My Child is on My face.  I see you and you are Beautiful.
I see you and You are so Beautiful to Me.  Let My Love set you free.
Let Me touch your face and fill your heart.

Come to Me all who are weary and heavy burdened.  I will give you rest.
I will refresh you.  I Am The Lord God and There is no other.
I created the heavens and the earth.  The universe declares My glory.
Do not look to the stars, the heavens or the angels, in which I created.

But Look to Me, I Am The Creator of All Things.
Do not put your trust in no other.

Trust in Me with all of your strength, all your heart and all your might, in all things of your life.

I accept you as you are.  There is nothing you can do to earn My Love for you.
I created you in the beginning, before the world even began.
I conceived you in My Heart and gave you a name and purpose.

I gave you My Son, so that you would believe on Him to except the gift of life, healing and liberty.
I love you with a passion.  Trust Me.
I have given everything to you, because of  Perfect Love.
